A Zoning Report was not provided by Z3 Consultants.

RESOLUTION Appointing Election Inspectors; on a motion made by Trustee Baldino, seconded by Trustee Mangieri; all in favor.

Trustee Reports:

Trustee Shilling

In Trustee Shilling’s absence, Mayor Griffith spoke about the potential solar project at the landfill.  Work is presently being completed to determine feasibility, and working with the Town of Red Hook.

Trustee Baldino

Court Report:  Trustee Baldino read the contents of the report which was provided by Court Clerk McGarry; $1,406.00 was remitted to the Office of the State Comptroller.

Trustee Mangieri

Trustee Mangieri read the police activity report which the Red Hook Police Department had provided.

Deputy Mayor Majer

Deputy Mayor Majer thanked those involved with the Street Painting Festival, and read a number of calendar items from the Tivoli Free Library and Historic Red Hook.  She spoke briefly about the trail markers for the KATT Trail.

Mayor Griffith

Mayor Griffith mentioned the American Legion Beef BBQ and the Rotary Citizen of the Year events; he attended both of these events, and both are wonderful organizations.

This Friday at 1:00 PM, the Tree Committee will be planting 3 new trees on Monument Hill.

As a reminder, the winter parking ordinance will go into effect on November 15, 2023.  Parking permits are available for purchase in the Clerk’s Office for $25.00.  If you are to get a ticket, that penalty is $45.00.  By signing up and purchasing a permit, there are times that we do make courtesy calls before DPW plows, and this gives the opportunity to move a vehicle before it is potentially towed.

Mayor Griffith mentioned the Special Election again.  This Special Election is the LOSAP Proposition which serves the volunteer fire department point system; the yearly amount deposited into an account would increase from $500.00 to $1,200.00.  This is a tiny and modest retirement for firefighters who meet the yearly requirements.

On Wednesday, October 25, at 7:00 PM on the 3rd Floor, the LWRP committee will be having their 2nd meeting of public engagement.  This will be a time to discuss potential projects over the coming decades for the Village of Tivoli.

Tuesday, November 7, 2023 is Election Day; the Tivoli Firehouse will be a polling place from 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM, and this year registered voters will be voting for County Executive.
