VILLAGE OF TIVOLI BOARD OF TRUSTEES
REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
May 18, 2022
A meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on May 18, 2022 at the Historic Watts DePeyster Hall, Tivoli, NY. Mayor Griffith opened the regular meeting at 7:05 PM.
Present: Mayor Griffith, Deputy Mayor Majer, Trustee Ezrati, Trustee Baldino, Trustee Mangieri
Others Present: Christine Chale, Village Attorney

The Mayor asked all present at the meeting to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Clerk’s report included:
- 408 Trash tags sold
- Two payrolls were processed by Village Treasurer, Bonnie Day
- Deputy Clerk Tyler continues to assist in the Clerk’s Office, and supports the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals at their meetings
- The fundraiser at Santa Fe for the Tivoli Fire Department was a hit and quite a success; many thanks to all who attended and participated.
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Majer, seconded by Trustee Ezrati, the April 20 Regular Meeting Minutes were approved, all in favor.
On a motion by Trustee Baldino and seconded by Trustee Ezrati, the Treasurer’s Report for Abstract #12 totaling $74,632.58 was approved. Trustee Mangieri moved that the bills be paid for the abstract as presented, Deputy Mayor Majer seconded the motion, all in favor.
Zoning Report
Trustee Ezrati read the Zoning Report provided by Gary Beck of Z3 Consultants.
Regular Business:
Submission of Tax Warrant; on a motion made by Trustee Ezrati, seconded by Trustee Baldino; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Approving Budget Modifications; on a motion made by Trustee Mangieri, seconded by Trustee Ezrati; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Authorizing an Addendum to Agreements for Professional Services Between the Village of Tivoli and T&B Engineering and Landscape Architecture, P.C.; on a motion made by Trustee Mangieri, seconded by Trustee Baldino; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Authorizing Phase I Stormwater Infrastructure Study; on a motion made by Trustee Mangieri, seconded by Trustee Ezrati; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Appointing Task Force Coordinators for the Climate Smart Communities Task Force; on a motion made by Deputy Mayor Majer, seconded by Trustee Baldino; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Authorizing Solicitation of Public Bids for 2022 CHIPS Project; on a motion made by Trustee Ezrati, seconded by Trustee Baldino; all in favor.
Clerk’s Office Summer Hours; on a motion made by Deputy Mayor Majer, seconded by Trustee Mangieri; all in favor.
Trustee Reports:
Trustee Ezrati
Trustee Ezrati provided some information on the LOSAP program. Also, the Solid Waste Management Committee is assessing what percentage of residents participate in Village trash pick-up, and weighing the risk to the DPW.
Trustee Baldino
Court Report: Trustee Baldino read the contents of the report which was provided by Court Clerk McGarry; $2,499.00 was remitted to the Office of the State Comptroller.
Trustee Mangieri
No Report.
Deputy Mayor Majer
Deputy Mayor Majer mentioned checking out the Tivoli Free Library and their upcoming events, along with the many things that are happening with Historic Red Hook, namely a Summer Concert Series.
In Tivoli Bays, ticks are already back, and be careful of the poison ivy. A thank you to DEC for the canoe launch.
The River Sweep was a successful event.
Deputy Mayor Majer spoke of photos of Tivoli children and grand children of Tivolians as part of an oral history.
Mayor Griffith
Mayor Griffith spoke about the Red Hook Recycling Center; there is no charge anymore for the annual sticker, and check out the PILOT Program for composting.
Sesquicentennial is coming up! Events will take place on June 17, 18, and 19. A program which lists the activities throughout the weekend is available on the Village website, along with the Sesquicentennial Facebook page. There are 30+ people on assorted committees for this big event! Don’t miss the fireworks to end the event-filled weekend on Sunday evening, June 19.
As part of the Memorial Day ceremony, the Red Church will be open to the public.
Tivoli’s Clean-Up Day is being planned for this year, and will take place in August. Details and information will be coming soon.
Tivoli’s Summer Recreation Camp will take place; sign-ups will be on June 25. The camp will run for 2 weeks in August; August 8-12, and August 15-19; from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM daily. More information will be provided very soon.
Public Comment
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Majer and seconded by Trustee Baldino, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM, all in favor.
