REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
April 17, 2024
A meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on April 17, 2024 at the Historic Watts DePeyster Hall, Tivoli, NY. Mayor Griffith opened the Reorganizational Meeting at 7:05 PM, and following the Re-Organizational meeting and refreshments, the regular board meeting was opened at 8:15 PM.

The Mayor asked all present at the meeting to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Griffith directed Justice Cordier to swear in the elected officials; on a motion made by Deputy Mayor Majer, seconded by Trustee Mangieri, the Appointed Officials of Bonnie Day and Linda Daetwyler were accepted, and Justice Cordier swore in these appointed individuals; Village awards were presented, and Mayor Griffith delivered his Re-Organizational Address.
The Clerk’s report included:
Sale of 390 trash tags
Two payrolls were processed
Bonnie Day has taken on the role of Deputy Clerk, which includes Planning/Zoning Secretary; she attended and assisted at a Planning Board meeting
In keeping with updates at a reorganizational meeting, Clerk Bruno spoke of the three (3) offices she holds at the Tivoli Fire Company: 1st Lieutenant Fire Police, Corresponding Secretary, and a Director with the Board of Directors for the fire company. Clerk Bruno has attended and completed a number of trainings for the company, and continues to serve in a role for the company with FEMA, and assists with Tivoli Fire’s grant program. Clerk Bruno added that she has continued to work with Provoost Park, she is the President of their Board of Directors.
On a motion by Trustee Mangieri, seconded by Trustee Shilling, the minutes for the March 20 regular meeting, and April 10 public hearing were approved, all in favor.
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Majer, and seconded by Trustee Shilling, the Treasurer’s Report for Abstract #11 totaling $72,223.89 was approved. Trustee Mangieri moved that the bills be paid for the abstract as presented and Trustee Baldino seconded the motion, all in favor.
Zoning Report
No Zoning Report was provided by Z3 Consultants.
Mayor Griffith summarized the agenda and opened the meeting for public comments on agenda items only. There were no public comments.
The next regular meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 7:00pm at the Historic Watts dePeyster Hall. The workshop will be held at 6:00pm before the meeting. There will be a workshop on May 8, 2024 at the Historic Watts DePeyster Hall at 6:00 pm.

RESOLUTION Relating to Annual Reorganization, motion made by Trustee Mangieri, seconded by Trustee Shilling; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Re-Adoption of Code of Ethics, motion made by Deputy Mayor Majer, seconded by Trustee Baldino; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Relating to Adoption of 2024-2025 Budget, motion made by Trustee Baldino, seconded by Trustee Mangieri; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Approving Budget Modification, motion made by Trustee Mangieri, seconded by Deputy Mayor Majer; all in favor.
RESOLUTION Authorizing the Execution of a Renewal Agreement with Tivoli Free Library; motion made by Trustee Mangieri, seconded by Trustee Baldino; all in favor.

Trustee Shilling spoke of the ongoing solar project at the landfill.
Trustee Baldino
Trustee Baldino read the Court Report which is generated and provided by Colleen McGarry: $1,833.00 was remitted to the Office of the State Comptroller; no personal report.
Trustee Mangieri
Trustee Mangieri read the police report which is generated and provided by the Red Hook Police Department; no personal report.
Deputy Mayor Majer
Deputy Mayor Majer once again mentioned the Tivoli Free Library and mentioned Hudson River Clean-Up taking place on May 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Mayor Griffith
Mayor Griffith spoke briefly about the water authority and the upcoming analyzing in May, and he welcomed Tobi Farley, the new Director of the Tivoli Free Library.
Public Comment
There was no public comment.
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Majer, seconded by Trustee Mangieri, the meeting was adjourned at 8:29 PM, all in favor.
