Mayor Griffith

The shoreline stabilization project is complete.  This project will protect and secure 600 feet of the parcel on the waterfront.  This is a DEC approved design, and required; what is present now as a part of the project will branch out and grow in the spring.

Mayor Griffith thanked DPW for putting up the lights and holiday decorations.

Winterfest has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 18, however, it will be based on the weather.  Presently, rain is in the forecast once again.

Please do remember that the winter parking ordinance is now in effect.

A big thank you to Bard College for their donation matching of up to $250,000.00 for the firehouse expansion project.  Mayor Griffith thanked President Botstein and his staff for this generous donation.

Also, coming up is the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of Tivoli.  Tivoli was incorporated in 1872, and there is a big celebration committee that has been formed.  We are not sure what the celebration will be at this point, however, the Village of Tivoli will certainly get the birthday party it deserves.  Trish Tieger will be heading the committee and the celebration.  Trish’s late husband, Bernie, was the head of the committee which held a large celebration in 1972 for the 100-year anniversary.  Do look for information about the celebration which will be held, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 17, 18, and 19, 2022!
