At the workshop held at 6:00 pm:
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Griffith , seconded by Trustee Ezrati, it was determined that the road repairs of $5,200 paid to
DJ Vosburgh for the repair of Clay Hill Road during the recent flooding would be reimbursable by CHIPS.
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Griffith, seconded by Trustee Schneider, Resolution 12-2014, dated July 16, 2014, PROPOSED
BUDGET MODIFICATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING MAY 31, 2014, was approved, all in favor.
A meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on July 16, 2014 at the Historic Watts DePeyster Hall, Tivoli, NY. Mayor Cranna
called the meeting to order at 7:22 pm.
Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Griffith, Trustee Ezrati, Trustee Bruno, Trustee Schneider, Attorney Christine Chale and Steven
Roberts of PANDA.
Public: Tom Crisci, Susan Dundacheck, Cathy Zipp and Robert Lachmann.
The Mayor asked all present to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Clerk’s report included:
- Sale of 700 trash tags
- Two payrolls
- One planning board workshop and meeting
- Yard Sale Day, Saturday, July 26, starts at 9:00 am
- No correspondence received for the record
On a motion by Trustee Schneider, seconded by Deputy Mayor Griffith, the Treasurer’s Report for Abstract 2, dated July 16, 2014, in
the amount of $56,746.46 was approved. The Treasurer’s Report is posted on the Village’s website each month. Deputy Mayor Griffith
moved that the bills be paid as presented and Trustee Bruno seconded the motion, all in favor. The Mayor noted a bill in the amount of
$5,200 for the repair of Clay Hill road during the recent rainstorm during which a state of emergency was called. These funds will be
reimbursed through the CHIPS program.

Zoning Report – Trustee Ezrati
- Three building permits for $250 in fees
- Eight passed inspections
- Complaint on Montgomery St regarding a ditch that is diverting water
- Two repeat letters for trash containers
- Two cars removed from resident’s property that appeared to be abandoned
- Several other permits were closed out
On a motion by Trustee Schneider and seconded by Deputy Mayor Griffith, minutes for the June 16 regular board meeting were
approved, all in favor

- Water System Operations Report
o No violations
o Testing every month
o Two different locations are tested monthly
o Ecoli and coli form
- No water main breaks in June
- Yard Sale Day July 26, 2014
- Inventory of Village signs conducted with Trustee Bruno
o Phase I
- Reviewed every sign post in the village
- Replaced missing signs and a welcome to Tivoli sign
o Phase II
- Existing signs will be refreshed
- Bike Racks placed in Memorial Park
o Received at no cost from Dutchess County
o Room for eight bikes on each rack
- Green Committee meets each third Tuesday of the month – public welcome
- Community Garden
o August 9th picnic

Trustee Ezrati
- Arts- Mid Hudson
o Attended an awards ceremony in June
o Two of eleven grants awarded went to Tivoli – one to Tangent Theatre and one to the Village of Tivoli in the amount
of $750.
- LOSAP investment return
o $95,000 for twenty one firemen
o Average interest earned is 6% – 8 1/4% since program began
- Trustee Bruno presented a proposed skate board park (in Memorial Park) presentation to the Planning Board
o Public hearing was held and was well attended
o Decision will be made on July 28
Trustee Bruno
- Summer Rec Program runs through July 25
- Library Program from 12 to 2 pm runs through August 1
- August 15 is Star Gazing Night in the Park at 8:00 pm
- Two small pieces of park equipment have been installed
- Adult and child handicapped swings to come
- August 2 is TFD chicken barbecue starting at 1:00 pm
Trustee Schneider
- Justice Court
o $1602 to comptroller’s office
- Business and Artist’s Association
o Purpose of it to establish a dialogue with local business owners
o Letter was sent to Tivoli business owners to meet in Mayor’s office on July 22 at 6:00 pm
o There was at one time a Tivoli Business Alliance
o Cross promote businesses and increase traffic in the village
o Concerns of the local businesses will also be addressed
- Shared Services Study Committee
o Ongoing monthly meetings – attended a meeting this morning
o Held at the Village of Red Hook
o Status update
o Delay in gathering the data needed for project
o Re-evaluating the data collection process
o A centralization implementation to track activities
o Village of Red Hook is also considering
o Additional meeting will be held on July 25 at the Red Hook Village Hall
o July 30 meeting at 7:00 pm at Red Hook Village Hall

Mayor Cranna spoke about the Dutchess County Water/Wastewater Authority
- Study only
- Rates will not automatically increase – will be part of the study

Recent Flooding
- 4.8 inches of rain
- State of Emergency called
- Significant flooding on Clay Hill Road, Broadway and Friendship Street
- Clay Hill Road has been repaired – $5200 will be reimbursed with CHIPS funds
The next regular meeting will take place on August 20, 2014 at 7:00pm at the Historic Watts dePeyster Hall. The workshop will be held
at 6:00pm before the meeting. There will be a workshop on August 13, 2014 at the Historic Watts DePeyster Hall at 6:00pm
Public comments centered on an emergency plan for the village, drinking water quality and the Tivoli Fire Department building repairs
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Griffith, and seconded by Trustee Schneider, the meeting was adjourned at 7:52 pm.
