A meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on January 16, 2013 at the Historic Watts dePeyster Hall. Mayor Cranna called the meeting to
order at 7:10 p.m.
Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Leedy, Trustees Ezrati, Bruno and Griffith, Attorney Christine Chale and PANDA film representative Steven
Public: Radley Glasser.
The Mayor asked all present to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
On a motion by Trustee Ezrati, seconded by Trustee Griffith, Resolution 01-2013, dated January 9, 2013, ESTABLISHING A DATE FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ADOPTION BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF TIVOLI OF LOCAL LAW NO. 4
(PROPOSED) OF 2012 was approved at the regular workshop held on January 9, 2013. A roll call was taken: Cranna: aye, Leedy: aye,
Bruno: absent, Ezrati: aye, Griffith: aye. The Public Hearing will be held on February 20, 2013 at 7:00pm at Village Hall.
On a motion by Trustee Griffith, seconded by Trustee Bruno, Resolution 2-2013, dated January 16, 2013, PROPOSED BUDGET
MODIFICATIONS FOR PAYROLL RE-ALLOCATIONS TOTALING $30,564. was approved, all in favor at the 6:00pm workshop.
The Clerk’s report included the sale 771 trash tags, ongoing collection of 475 water/sewer bills, continuing work with KOSCO to regulate the
temperature of the Village Hall Building, changing the office supply vendor with anticipated savings of 20-30% per month, attendance of a Planning
Board Workshop, two payrolls and preparation of year end payroll including the generation of w-2’s. The Village Offices will be closed in observance
of Martin Luther King Day on Monday, January 21, 2013.
Mayor Cranna presented the minutes of the December 19, 2012 regular board meeting. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Leedy, seconded by
Trustee Ezrati to approve the minutes. After a brief discussion, the minutes were approved, all in favor.
Trustee Bruno announced an Easter holiday event is being planned by the Recreation Committee.
On a motion by Trustee Bruno, seconded by Trustee Griffith, the Treasurer’s Report for Abstract 8, dated January 16, 2013, the amount of
$37,387.54 was approved. Deputy Mayor Leedy moved that the bill be paid as presented and Trustee Ezrati seconded the motion, all in favor.
Trustee Ezrati reviewed the Planning/Zoning Report stating there were three building permits issued with fees of $370, two inspections including an
inspection by the Code Enforcement Officer at the Tivoli waterfront and a dock owned by the Tivoli Sailing Company.
Mayor Cranna presented Resolution 3-2013, dated January 16, 2013, RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF A USED 1993
INTERNATIONAL DUMP TRUCK FROM THE TOWN OF GERMANTOWN, COLUMBIA COUNTY, NEW YORK. On a motion by Deputy Mayor
Leedy, seconded by Trustee Griffith, the resolution was approved. Roll call: Leedy: aye, Ezrati: aye, Bruno: aye, Griffith: aye, Cranna: aye.
Mayor Cranna announced that a Board of Trustees Budget Workshop will be held on February 13, 2012 at 5:00pm at Village Hall. The Public
Hearing for Local Law 4-2012 (proposed) will be held on February 20, 2013 at 7:00pm at Village Hall.
Mayor Cranna met with Assemblyman Cahill and other local officials for a “sit and talk” recently. There may be future meetings.
The next Regular Meeting will take place on February 20, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Historic Watts dePeyster Hall. The workshop will be held at 6:00pm
before the meeting. There will be a workshop on February 13, 2012 at Village Hall at 6:00pm.

Mayor Cranna noted that there have been several incidents of vehicles in the village being entered into illegally. The Dutchess County Sheriff should
be contacted at 845.486.3800 as they are the lead agency. As a reminder, for any emergency, use 911.

· Meeting with Mayor and Director of the Fire Department

o Brent Kovalchik from the Village of Red Hook attended meeting – has suggestions for grant resource funding
· Planning the Spring Easter festivities

o Will be completed in the spring
o Library – ongoing programs
o Mason’s have bingo every Saturday and breakfast every fourth Sunday. There will be a roast beef dinner on February 9 at 1:00
· Court Report – net fees collected in the amount of $1865.
· Well Report – no leaks or problems
· Community Garden
o Contact Trustee Griffith if interested in a plot
o 19 plots – if there are more participants than lots, a lottery will be held in March
o Additional information will be available next month
There were no public comments.
The Mayor asked for a motion to close the meeting in memory of Richard Barrett and Linda Rector. On a motion by Deputy Mayor Leedy and
seconded by Trustee Bruno, the meeting was adjourned at 7:31 pm.
