Mayor Cranna opened the public hearing at 7:07 pm at the Historic Watts De Peyster Hall. Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Griffith, Trustees Bruno and Schneider and Attorney Chale. Absent: Trustee Ezrati
Public: Thomas Crisci, Sr., Glenn Baker, Leslie Baker, Emily Majer, Dave Cleaveland, Karen Cleaveland, John Hallstein, Toby Tieger, Mark Bennett, Jennifer Harris, Arnaud Cornillon, Pete Mauney, Gerard Hurley and Kyle Adams.
The purpose of the public hearing is to hear comments on the proposed adoption by the village board of trustees of the village of Tivoli of Local Law No C (proposed) of 2014 to enact a new article VI in chapter 44 of the village code entitled “continuity of government”.
Mayor Cranna stated that the local law is to establish an interim successor in the event that the Mayor or Deputy Mayor are unable to execute their responsibilities and/or duties. This is an appointment made by the Mayor. Mayor Cranna asked the Board to consider the resolution.
Public Comments: Jennifer Harris asked if there is a natural progression among the trustees for the appointment. Mayor Cranna said no and it was his intention to appoint Trustee Robin Bruno as first interim successor. The local law must first be filed with the Secretary of State.
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Griffith, seconded by Trustee Schneider, the public hearing was closed at 7:10 pm, all in favor
Respectfully submitted,
Linda Gonnella Village Clerk &Treasurer
