Questions, Concerns about the Water System?

Since the severe water main break of January 8th, there have been many questions about where to get information relating to water service in Tivoli. This notice is to help you direct any questions and concerns you may have to the proper place.

As of July 2019 the Water and Sewer systems are being maintained and operated by the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority.  They are responsible for everything from billing to repairing water main breaks and flushing hydrants. The Village of Tivoli and the Village Department of Public Works are no longer performing any of this work.

All users of the water system are encouraged to sign up for the DCWWA’s alert service. Link is below:

A workshop meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on November 12, 2014 at the Historic Watts de Peyster Hall Tivoli, NY.
Mayor Cranna called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.
Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Griffith, Trustee Bruno, Trustee Schneider, Attorney Christine Chale
Absent: Trustee Ezrati was in attendance at the workshop but was not present for the motion made for Rizzo & Kelley.
Public: Kyle Adams
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Griffith, seconded by Trustee Schneider, a letter of proposal from Rizzo & Kelley for potential
employment by the Village of Tivoli to render legal services in connection with the prosecution of zoning and building code
violations jointly with the firm of Rodenhausen Chale LLP was approved, all in favor.
