Questions, Concerns about the Water System?

Since the severe water main break of January 8th, there have been many questions about where to get information relating to water service in Tivoli. This notice is to help you direct any questions and concerns you may have to the proper place.

As of July 2019 the Water and Sewer systems are being maintained and operated by the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority.  They are responsible for everything from billing to repairing water main breaks and flushing hydrants. The Village of Tivoli and the Village Department of Public Works are no longer performing any of this work.

All users of the water system are encouraged to sign up for the DCWWA’s alert service. Link is below:

A special board meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on July 24, 2012 at Watts dePeyster Hall. Mayor Cranna called the meeting to order at 6:04 pm.

Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Leedy, and Trustees Ezrati, Bruno and Griffith.

Public: Attorney Chris Chale and Kristopher Munn and Village Engineer Ron Evangelista via telephone.

Mayor Cranna explained that the purpose of the meeting was to award the bids for the Memorial Park Improvement project (CDBG 2011). The bids were opened on July 17, 2012 at Village Hall by VillageEngineer Evangelista with Trustee Bruno and Clerk/Treasurer Gonnella and several of the projects bidders
present.

Attorney Chale, the Board of Trustees and Engineer Evangelista discussed the bids via phone
conference. After the discussion, on a motion by Trustee Ezrati, seconded by Deputy Mayor Leedy, the general construction bid was awarded to One Way Construction Services, Inc in the amount of $57,695. The paving bid was awarded to Blacktop Maintenance in the amount of $35,730. The award to Black Top Construction also included amendments to the bid package to narrow the road to a pathway and to resurface the basketball court. The award to the general contractor also included amendments to the bid terms that eliminated the painting of the bathroom.

The bid for $57,695 includes $2,100 for bathroom locks which will be funded through the village using budget line item A.1990.400 for $2,100. Roll call: Leedy- aye, Ezrati-aye, Bruno-aye, Griffithaye, Cranna-aye.

Attorney Chale presented Resolution 15-2012, dated July 24, 2012, Establishing a date for a Public Hearing Regarding the Adoption by the Village Board of the Village of Tivoli of Local Law No. 3 (Proposed) of 2012, A Local Law Amending Chapter 231 of the Village Code to Provide Supplementary Regulations for Development in the RB District, to Amend the List of Permitted and Specially Permitted Uses, and to Make other Changes. On a motion by Trustee Bruno, seconded by Trustee Griffith, the public hearing was set for August 15, 2012 at 7:00pm at Village Hall.

On a motion by Trustee Bruno and seconded by Trustee Ezrati, the meeting was adjourned at 7:58pm, all in favor.
