A workshop meeting of the Village of Tivoli Board of Trustees was held on July 17, 2013 at the American Legion, 8 Tivoli Commons at
Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Griffith, Trustee Ezrati and Trustee Schneider, Attorney Christine Chale and Village Engineer
Ron Evangelista. Absent: Trustee Bruno
On a motion by Trustee Ezrati, seconded by Deputy Mayor Griffith, RESOLUTON 26-2013, DATED JULY 17, 2013, PROPOSED
BUDGET MODIFICATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING MAY 31, 2013, was approved, all in favor.
Public bid quotes for the oil and propane price and service contracts were opened by Mayor Cranna. After a brief discussion of the
Board, the quotes were tabled for further review.
Village Engineer Ron Evangelista spoke about the bids received for the repair and refurbishment of the sidewalks through the
$100,000 CDBG 2012 (grant) awarded to the Village of Tivoli. The bid requests from vendors to perform the repairs and refurbishing
will exceed the amount awarded by Dutchess County. The Village of Tivoli has funding in its CHIPS line that could offset the costs
associated with the project over the awarded amount of $100,000.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF CHIPS (CONSOLIDATED LOCAL STREET AND HIGHWAY PROGRAM) FUNDING TO
OFFSET THE COST OF REPAIRS TO VILLAGE SIDEWALKS NOT COVERED BY THE 2012 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

On a motion by Deputy Mayor Griffith, seconded by Trustee Schneider, RESOLUTION 28-2013, DATED JULY 17, 2013, A
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT NO.13-001 FOR THE SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROJECT, IN THE
VILLAGE OF TIVOLI, was approved, awarding the bid to Sun Up Enterprises, in the amount of $105,188. Roll Call: Crannaaye,
Griffith-aye, Ezrati-aye, Schneider-aye, Bruno-absent.
Village Engineer Evangelista presented a price quote recommendation for the repair for the shaft bearing failure in the RBC system of
the village’s wastewater plant. The village received three quotes for the repairs. Mr. Evangelista recommends the TAM Enterprises bid
of $5,600 which includes a one year guarantee on both bearing parts and the installation labor. Mr. Evangelista noted that equally
important to the repair project is the on-going maintenance of the RBC’s two unit and shafts including the continued lubrication
greasing of the units. The warranty stipulates the preventive maintenance logs prepared by DPW be supplied to TAM. On a motion by
Trustee Schneider, seconded by Deputy Mayor Griffith, the bid was awarded to TAM Enterprises, Inc for $5,600, all in favor.
On a motion by Trustee Ezrati, seconded by Deputy Mayor Griffith, Village Engineer Evangelista will prepare a RFP for the
repair of the elevator in Village Hall, considered to be an issue of urgency, and completed by August 14, 2013, all in favor.
