Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Leedy, Trustees Ezrati and Griffith
Absent: Trustee Bruno.
Public: Attorney Christine Chale, Sandy Carroll
The Public Hearing for proposed Local Law 2-2012 was called to order at 6:03pm by Mayor Cranna.
Attorney Chale read the Notice of Public Hearing. (See attached).
Mayor Cranna asked if anyone from the public would like to address the board. Sandy Carroll said she attended a meeting last night and felt she was heard at the meeting.
The Mayor asked Trustee Ezrati if she would like to discuss last night’s meeting.
Trustee Ezrati said there were ten to twelve attendees at the meeting in addition to the ZRC and Michele Greig. The Zoning Review Committee (Thomas Cordier, Martin Clarke, Mark Bennett and Jennifer Harris) with Trustee Ezrati and Planner Michele Greig have been meeting weekly. The work is almost at a conclusion. Trustee Ezrati is hopeful that the need for the moratorium will be somewhat limited. She stated that this is an ongoing process as part of revising zoning throughout Tivoli to conform to the comprehensive plan that was started in 2005. The historic district and the bulk regs revisions took about four years. Some of the work done on that affected the RB district. New standards were set for scale. This stage of the process is about permitted uses and special permitted uses.
Trustee Griffith asked if the moratorium could be lifted if the ZRC finished its work before the six month time frame. Attorney Chale stated that an additional local law would be needed to repeal the moratorium.
Mayor Cranna thanked everyone who has worked on the project.
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Leedy, seconded by Trustee Griffith, the public hearing was closed at 6:10 pm, all in favor.
