Questions, Concerns about the Water System?

Since the severe water main break of January 8th, there have been many questions about where to get information relating to water service in Tivoli. This notice is to help you direct any questions and concerns you may have to the proper place.

As of July 2019 the Water and Sewer systems are being maintained and operated by the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority.  They are responsible for everything from billing to repairing water main breaks and flushing hydrants. The Village of Tivoli and the Village Department of Public Works are no longer performing any of this work.

All users of the water system are encouraged to sign up for the DCWWA’s alert service. Link is below:

Mayor Cranna opened the public hearing at 6:06 pm at the American Legion, 8 Tivoli Commons, Tivoli, NY.
Present: Mayor Cranna, Deputy Mayor Griffith, Trustees Ezrati, Bruno and Schneider.
Public: Robert Lachman.
This public hearing is to hear all interested persons on the proposed Local Law 1-2014 to override the tax levy limit for fiscal year 2014-
2015.
Mayor Cranna asked for any public comments. There were no public comments.
On a motion by Deputy Mayor Griffith, seconded by Trustee Bruno, Resolution 2-2014, (Proposed Local Law 1-2014) , dated
March 12, 2014; AUTHORIZING ADOPTION BY THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF TIVOLI OF LOCAL
LAW 1 (PROPOSED) OF 2014 TO OVERRIDE THE TAX LEVY LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015 was approved. Roll Call:
Ezrati: aye, Bruno: Aye, Griffith: aye, Schneider: aye.
On a motion by Trustee Ezrati, seconded by Trustee Schneider, the public hearing was closed at 6:08 pm.
